Job Duties
- Greet customers and provide exceptional service
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash handling and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Comply with food safety regulations and reinforce safety procedures
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and assisting with product information
- Identify and report unsafe conditions to store management
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
