High school education or equivalent experience
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers
Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system

Job Duties

Check out customers' merchandise through POS registers
Greet and acknowledge all customers promptly and in a friendly manner
Handle merchandise with care
Support a strong commitment to world class customer service
Approach all customers in a friendly and outgoing manner
Remain product knowledgeable
Remain aware of advertised sales
Stock and straighten shelves and pegs in the immediate area when not directly ringing up product
Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers' needs
Make product recommendations based on customer needs
Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up
Perform other duties as assigned
