Job Duties

Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policy
Adhere to cash shortage and overage limits and work to control loss honestly and effectively
Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
Comply with policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
Stay current with ad promotions and seasonal offers
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions
Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally, and cooperatively
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
