  • Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred
  • Ability to operate point of sale systems

Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively and courteously
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the point of sale
  • Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
  • Adhere to company guidelines on restricted sale items and control cash shortages or overages honestly
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay updated with current promotions, seasonal ads, and special offers
  • Maintain food safety standards and ensure a clean, safe environment
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues to management
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering product questions and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
  • Comply with all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business concerns
  • Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
