- prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred

Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively at the check lanes
- process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system
- handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sales items
- report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay current with promotions, seasonal and special ads
- comply with food safety regulations and safety programs
- maintain equipment by inspecting and reporting needed repairs
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- follow all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- manage conflict cooperatively and act with honesty and integrity
- provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
