Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash overages, shortages, and restricted sales
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain knowledge of current and seasonal promotions
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Perform preventive equipment maintenance
- Provide product information and create a welcoming environment
- Follow local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Practice honesty and integrity with customer and business information
- Seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults directly
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
