Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition and subtraction
- Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
- Ability to manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Job Qualifications

- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus

Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sales and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- Stay current with advertisements and promotions
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Perform equipment inspections and notify management of needed repairs
- Create a welcoming environment and respond to customer inquiries
- Follow all legal and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflicts reasonably and professionally
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
