Job Duties

Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
Process customer transactions through the checkout lane quickly, accurately and efficiently
Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and complex loyalty offers according to company policy
Understand and adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and control loss
Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco and DVDs
Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
Stay current with present, future and seasonal ads
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions, accidents or issues and notify management
Inspect equipment and report needs for repair
Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
Adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
Work cooperatively in high-paced environments
Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
