Job Requirements

Customer service experience
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition and subtraction
Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues

Job Duties

Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
Understand and manage Point of Sale system including various tenders like cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons, and loyalty offers
Adhere to company limits on cash shortages or overages and control loss
Follow guidelines on restricted sale items including alcohol and tobacco
Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
Stay current with seasonal, special, and future ads
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents
Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance and report repairs
Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product inquiries
Follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
