Job Requirements

Must be able to pass standard TSA badging requirements
Prior experience in cashier or customer service roles preferred
Basic computer skills required
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Must be reliable and punctual
Ability to stand for extended periods
Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Ability to pass TSA badging requirements
Skilled in providing prompt and friendly customer service
Knowledge of operating cash registers and maintaining cash drawers
Ability to perform monetary transactions accurately, including giving and receiving change
Able to maintain clean and neat checkout area
Understanding of gift cards, traveler’s checks, coupons, and refunds
Capable of balancing transactions including layaway payments, checks, register receipts, currency, and credit cards
Proven accuracy in sales and return processing
Knowledge of product locations within the store
Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Able to handle telephone inquiries and light housekeeping tasks

Job Duties

Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
Greet customers entering establishments
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical price scanners
