Job Duties

Greet, engage, and assist customers actively at the check lane
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
Handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to policy
Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages and overages to control loss
Follow policies for restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
Comply with safety procedures and food safety regulations
Maintain equipment by performing inspections and reporting needed repairs
Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer questions about products
Uphold all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Follow directions, seek assistance when needed, and act with honesty regarding customer and business information
