Job Duties

Greet and assist customers actively and courteously at all times
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
Handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policies
Adhere to cash handling policies and work to control shortages and overages
Follow guidelines on restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco
Report pricing discrepancies and assist with coupon and gift card transactions
Stay updated with current and promotional pricing
Maintain food safety standards and comply with safety procedures
Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report needed repairs
Create a welcoming environment and provide product information
Comply with all local, state, federal laws and company policies
Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
Demonstrate honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
Support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
