Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers actively and courteously at all times
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policies
- Adhere to cash handling policies and work to control shortages and overages
- Follow guidelines on restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies and assist with coupon and gift card transactions
- Stay updated with current and promotional pricing
- Maintain food safety standards and comply with safety procedures
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report needed repairs
- Create a welcoming environment and provide product information
- Comply with all local, state, federal laws and company policies
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
- Support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
