Job Requirements

Customer service experience
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desired
Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Ability to manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
Ability to act with honesty and integrity
Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Ability to provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Ability to operate Point of Sale (POS) systems efficiently
Understanding of food safety regulations
Ability to handle cash and various payment methods
Capability to follow company policies and procedures

Job Duties

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using POS systems
Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
Adhere to company policies regarding restricted sales and pricing discrepancies
Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures
Report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions to management
Provide support to customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Maintain a cooperative and nonconfrontational attitude in a fast-paced environment
