Job Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desired
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Ability to manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity
  • Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • Ability to provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using POS systems
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
  • Adhere to company policies regarding restricted sales and pricing discrepancies
  • Follow all food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • Report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions to management
  • Provide support to customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Maintain a cooperative and nonconfrontational attitude in a fast-paced environment
