- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year experience as cashier preferred for head cashier
- ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- capability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- reliability and punctuality
- willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
- ability to manage and resolve customer issues professionally

Job Duties
- process checkout and return transactions
- monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- provide customers with product and project information
- identify selling opportunities
- follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
- approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
- provide first level escalation for customer issues
- assist in supervision, coaching, and training of front end associates
- participate in training of new cashiers
- use available tools to coach and develop cashiers
