Job Duties
- Actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons and checkout procedures
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow company policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Work cooperatively in high paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, special needs individuals, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
