Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Food Handlers Permit if required by store or county
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch as needed
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks
- Open availability to work at home store and other stores within the district
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Excellent computer skills with competency in PDI Enterprise POS
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work with little or no supervision
- Basic math skills
- Food Handlers Permit if required
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Open availability to work all shifts as needed
Job Duties
- Take measures to preserve the safety of employees and others in the work location
- Operate POS including cash register and fuel console accurately
- Enter all sales transactions, accept payments and account for all funds
- Perform service transactions such as credit card payments, coupon redemption, vendor check-in, and age-restricted sales
- Check identification for alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products
- Actively participate in sales promotions and campaigns
- Practice suggestive selling and build customer relations
- Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform
- Prepare hot food items and beverages including coffee brewing and condiment bar maintenance
- Ensure the store is clean, sanitized, and equipment is in working condition
- Sweep floors, spot mop, and clean fuel delivery areas
- Spot check and restock restrooms
- Clean store surfaces, equipment, and empty trash
- Front face cooler and dust merchandise
- Organize backroom supplies and stock shelves properly
- Conduct product delivery receiving and proper stocking
- Inspect perishable products for freshness and proper rotation
- Follow company safety and emergency procedures
- Support cashier duties during barista shifts
- Perform deep cleaning tasks during night shifts
- Prepare store for morning rush and restock items
