Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environments

Job Qualifications

- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Understanding of POS systems and cash handling procedures
Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policies
- Monitor and control cash shortages and overages honestly and effectively
- Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay informed about current and upcoming sales and advertisements
- Comply with all food safety regulations and company safety procedures
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues promptly to management
- Inspect equipment for maintenance and notify appropriate personnel
- Create a welcoming environment and answer customer questions regarding products
- Adhere to local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflicts reasonably and peacefully
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
