ability to adhere to company policies and safety regulations

ability to assist diverse customer groups including minors and those with special needs

Job Duties

Greet and engage customers actively and courteously
process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling various tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
monitor and control cash shortages and overages following company policies
enforce guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
keep current with seasonal, special, and future advertisements
adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
comply with store safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management
conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repair needs
create a welcoming environment by responding to customer inquiries
comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and company regulations
work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
