Job Duties
- Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases
- process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, rain checks, voids, and coupons accurately
- weigh and carefully bag customer purchases
- maintain front-end merchandising such as newspapers, periodicals, candy, and other items
- ensure proper use of product identification and report pricing or signage errors
- stay updated on store programs and product locations
- communicate company programs, in-store specials, and coupons to customers
- comply with security, cash handling, product handling, and sale of regulated products policies
- maintain cleanliness and stock levels in the department
- assist with stocking items when needed
- follow PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience guidelines
- perform other tasks as assigned to support customer experience
