- experience handling cash and other tender types

- ability to follow instructions and seek assistance when needed
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers actively and courteously at the point of sale
- process customer transactions accurately and quickly through the POS system
- handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, and SNAP EBT
- adhere to company policies regarding restricted sales such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies and manage coupon and gift card transactions
- comply with all food safety regulations and company loss prevention procedures
- maintain a clean and safe work environment and promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues
- provide product information and answer customer inquiries to enhance their shopping experience
- manage conflict professionally and cooperatively when necessary
- support customers with special needs, including minors and older adults
- follow local, state, and federal laws relevant to the retail environment
- demonstrate honesty and integrity in all transactions and interactions
- adhere to safety and operational guidelines diligently
