Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming environment for guests
  • provide excellent customer service
  • handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently
  • maintain a clean and organized work environment including cash register and surrounding area, condiment stands, countertops, and bakery case
  • replenish condiments, serving utensils, and beverage station supplies
  • stock coolers and snack shelves using FIFO (First-in First-out) stocking procedures
  • follow Dining and Retail Services sanitation and safety standards
  • remain alert and attentive to surroundings and people
  • clean and stock work areas in and around the register
  • train and guide student employees
  • interact with customers, answer questions, and provide information regarding products, escalating questions as necessary
  • process customer transactions by performing cashier duties using the point of sale system
