Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cashier or retail experience beneficial
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 30 lbs
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience desirable
- Retail experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and enforce store policies
- Ability to build positive relationships with diverse customers and team members
- Demonstrates persistence and perseverance
- Shows care and compassion for customers
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service with energy and empathy
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Enforce standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, safety, loss prevention, and food safety
- Follow company policies regarding voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions
- Maintain compliance with WIC and other regulatory procedures
- Participate in Cashier training programs and apply policies for handling checks, liquor, and tobacco sales
- Ensure Front End presentation is clean and organized including personal appearance
- Perform additional store duties as assigned to support overall operations
- Engage customers promptly to enhance service speed and efficiency
