Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- operate Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sales items
- report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated with current, seasonal, and special ads
- comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
- promote safety by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
- inspect equipment for maintenance needs and notify appropriate personnel
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- manage workplace conflict cooperatively and respectfully
- handle customer and business information with honesty and integrity
- provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
