Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sales items, and price discrepancies
- Follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- Stay current with promotions, ads and food safety regulations
- Report unsafe conditions and perform preventive maintenance checks
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere by answering customer questions
- Comply with local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Handle customer and business information with honesty and integrity
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
