Job Duties

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
  • Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Maintain current knowledge of ads and promotions
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety programs
  • Inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs
  • Provide assistance and answer questions about products
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
