- prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred
- ability to manage conflict and work cooperatively
- honesty and integrity in handling business and customer information
- ability to follow directions and seek assistance as needed
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers actively and visibly
- process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- adhere to company policies on cash control and loss prevention
- enforce guidelines on restricted sales such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies
- follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupon use
- stay informed on current and seasonal promotions
- comply with all food safety regulations
- maintain safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- create a welcoming environment and answer customer product questions
- comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in fast-paced environments
- manage conflict reasonably and professionally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
