Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively and courteously
  • process customer transactions quickly and accurately
  • handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
  • adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
  • report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay updated with current and seasonal ads
  • comply with all food safety regulations
  • reinforce safety by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions
  • perform preventive maintenance inspections and notify management of repair needs
  • create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • adhere to all laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
  • manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance for resolving issues
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
