Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
- Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system
- Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively in a team
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Honesty and integrity in handling transactions and customer information
Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system and handle multiple tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and WIC
- Adhere to company policies on cash control, restricted sale items, and checkout procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay informed about current and future promotions and advertisements
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management
- Inspect equipment and notify management of necessary repairs
- Provide a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- Manage conflict responsibly and nonconfrontationally
- Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
- Seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults respectfully.
