Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently using POS system
- Handle various tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- Stay current with ads including present, future, seasonal and special
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or issues
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
