Job Duties

  • Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently using POS system
  • Handle various tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers and coupons
  • Adhere to company policies on cash shortages/overages and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
  • Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
  • Stay current with ads including present, future, seasonal and special
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or issues
  • Inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • Act with honesty and integrity
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
  • Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
