  • Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
  • Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced environments
  • Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable manner
  • Ability to act with honesty and integrity

Job Duties

  • Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, complex loyalty offers, and coupons
  • Adhere to company policy regarding cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Follow policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products
  • Follow local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in fast-paced, sometimes stressful environments
  • Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
