Job Duties
- greet and assist customers actively and courteously
- process customer transactions accurately and efficiently through the POS system
- handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
- adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, restricted sales, and checkout procedures
- report pricing discrepancies and follow established guidelines for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated on current and seasonal advertisements
- comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- inspect equipment for maintenance needs and notify management
- create a welcoming environment by answering product-related questions
- adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- seek assistance when needed to resolve issues
- provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
