Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers in a friendly and approachable manner
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain awareness of current, future, seasonal, and special ads
- Follow all food safety regulations and safety programs, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment issues
- Create a welcoming environment that ensures customers feel important and appreciated
- Comply with all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively while delivering honest and respectful service
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
