Job Duties

  • Greet, engage and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly and accurately through the POS system
  • Handle various tenders including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons in accordance with company policy
  • Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
  • Follow guidelines for restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Stay current with pricing, promotions and special ads
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety regulations
  • Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or accidents
  • Provide customer support by answering product questions
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
