Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons
- adhere to company policies on cash shortages and loss prevention
- follow guidelines on restricted sale items
- report pricing discrepancies
- follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- comply with food safety regulations
- identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents
- inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs
- create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high paced environment
- manage conflict nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
