Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
  • adhere to cash shortage and overage limits and control loss
  • follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
  • report pricing discrepancies to the appropriate coordinator
  • adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues
  • create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
  • comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
  • manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • act with honesty and integrity
  • provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
