Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
- adhere to cash shortage and overage limits and control loss
- follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies to the appropriate coordinator
- adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues
- create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
- comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity
- provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
