Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, loss control, and restricted sales
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay updated on current and seasonal promotions
- Comply with food safety regulations
- Identify and report safety hazards
- Inspect equipment and report repair needs
- Provide product information and create a welcoming environment
- Abide by local, state, and federal laws as well as company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Maintain honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek help when needed
- Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform all essential functions with or without accommodation
