Job Duties

  • Greet, engage and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
  • Handle multiple tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers
  • Control loss by adhering to guidelines on cash shortages and overages
  • Manage restricted sale items according to company policy
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and company safety programs
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents
  • Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance inspections
  • Provide a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • Comply with all local, state, federal laws and company policies
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage conflict professionally
  • Uphold honesty and integrity with customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
