Customer service experience
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition and subtraction

Job Duties

Greet, engage and assist customers actively
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
Handle multiple tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers
Control loss by adhering to guidelines on cash shortages and overages
Manage restricted sale items according to company policy
Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
Adhere to food safety regulations and company safety programs
Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents
Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance inspections
Provide a welcoming environment by answering product questions
Comply with all local, state, federal laws and company policies
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
Manage conflict professionally
Uphold honesty and integrity with customer and business information
Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
