Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the check lane
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and checkout procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with promotional and seasonal ads
- Comply with food safety regulations and company safety procedures
- Identify and notify management of unsafe conditions and maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service by answering product questions and creating a welcoming environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperate with team members
- Uphold honesty and integrity in all customer and business interactions
- Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults respectfully
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
