Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and engage to provide assistance
- Process customer transactions through the check lane accurately and efficiently
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) system and handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Create a welcoming environment and answer customer questions about products and store policies
