Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition and subtraction

Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers visibly and actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to cash shortage and overage limits and work honestly to control loss
- Follow guidelines for restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Implement policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents
- Inspect equipment for maintenance and notify management of needed repairs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions
- Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide assistance and support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
