Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for special items such as postage stamps and gift cards
- Stay current with store ads and promotions
- Comply with food safety regulations and store safety programs
- Report unsafe conditions and maintain preventive maintenance
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions throughout the store
- Work cooperatively in fast-paced, sometimes stressful conditions
- Manage conflict reasonably and professionally
- Conduct all responsibilities with honesty and integrity
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
