Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
  • Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for special items such as postage stamps and gift cards
  • Stay current with store ads and promotions
  • Comply with food safety regulations and store safety programs
  • Report unsafe conditions and maintain preventive maintenance
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions throughout the store
  • Work cooperatively in fast-paced, sometimes stressful conditions
  • Manage conflict reasonably and professionally
  • Conduct all responsibilities with honesty and integrity
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
