Job Requirements

  • Customer service experience
  • effective communication skills
  • knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
  • ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
  • ability to manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • ability to act with honesty and integrity
  • ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Customer service experience

  • knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
  • ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • integrity and honesty in handling customer and business information
  • ability to manage conflict and follow guidelines
  • experience with POS systems preferred
  • prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is a plus

Job Duties

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
  • establish and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • demonstrate company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at checkout
  • handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
  • adhere to company policies on cash handling and restricted sales
  • report pricing discrepancies and maintain accurate checkout procedures
  • stay current with pricing, promotions, and food safety regulations
  • identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needs
  • provide assistance and answer customer questions regarding products
  • manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
  • support special needs customers and comply with all legal and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
