  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment

  • Honest and acts with integrity when handling customer and business information
  • Capable of following directions and seeking help when necessary
  • Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desirable

Job Duties

  • Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policy
  • Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents
  • Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report issues
  • Answer customer questions regarding products sold within the department and store
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
