- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment

- Honest and acts with integrity when handling customer and business information
- Capable of following directions and seeking help when necessary
- Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is desirable
Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report issues
- Answer customer questions regarding products sold within the department and store
- Adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
