Job Requirements

  • at least one year of cashier experience
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • basic math skills
  • good communication skills
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to handle cash and perform transactions accurately

Job Duties

  • process checkout and return transactions
  • monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
  • seek product and project knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities
  • follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
  • approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
  • provide first level escalation for customer issues
  • assist in supervision, coaching, and training of front end associates
  • participate in training new cashiers and use available tools to coach and develop cashiers
