  • prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred

  • ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary

Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, restricted sales, and pricing discrepancies
  • follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • maintain awareness of current and seasonal promotional ads
  • comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • report unsafe conditions and support safety programs
  • perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management
  • create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • manage conflict in a non-confrontational manner
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance as needed
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
