  • Experience in cashier or bagger roles is desirable but not mandatory

Job Duties

  • Greet, engage and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions accurately and quickly
  • Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers
  • Manage and control cash shortages and overages
  • Adhere to company policies on restricted sales and checkout procedures
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the appropriate coordinator
  • Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay informed about current, future, seasonal and special store promotions
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and store safety programs
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and with integrity
  • Act honestly and with integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
