Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience operating cash register in food service or equivalent
  • valid Food Handlers Permit from accredited issuer
  • ability to safely perform job duties
  • proficiency in English language
  • effective communication skills
  • basic math competency
  • team cooperation skills
  • knowledge to comply with food ordinances

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year experience operating cash register in a food service or similar environment
  • valid Food Handlers Permit approved by TXDSHS or ANSI
  • proficient in English speaking, reading and writing
  • ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family and coworkers
  • basic math skills
  • team player with cooperative attitude
  • knowledge of local food ordinances

Job Duties

  • handle cash, credit and other payment transactions in retail food areas
  • provide receipts and make correct change
  • prepare cashier's report and deposit revenues following cash handling procedures
  • assist in food service areas and dining room
  • operate food service equipment as needed
  • support food and nutrition service areas
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of service and equipment areas
