Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and assist them with their needs
- process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the Point of Sale system
- handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policies
- adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- maintain knowledge of current and upcoming promotions and ads
- comply with all food safety regulations and store safety programs
- identify and report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs
- create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions
- adhere to local, state, and federal laws as well as company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced setting and manage conflicts professionally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
