Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior cashier or retail experience
- ability to stand for prolonged periods
- basic computer proficiency
- strong attention to detail
- good organizational skills
- availability to work flexible shifts
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 1 year cashier experience preferred for Head Cashier role
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills
- customer service orientation
- ability to handle customer escalations effectively
- experience in training or coaching is an asset
Job Duties
- process checkout and/or return transactions
- monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area
- provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service
- seek product/project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
- position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks and approving point of sale transactions and markdowns
- provide first level escalation for customer issues
- assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates
