Job Duties
- Greeting customers actively and assisting them
- processing customer transactions quickly and accurately via POS system
- handling various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
- adhering to company cash shortage and overage policies to control loss
- following rules for restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- reporting pricing discrepancies
- following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- staying updated on current and seasonal promotions and ads
- adhering to all food safety regulations
- identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and accidents
- performing preventive maintenance inspections and reporting repair needs
- creating a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- complying with all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- working cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- managing conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
- maintaining honesty and integrity regarding sensitive information
- following directions and seeking assistance to resolve issues
